Two of FDR’s Four Freedoms: Freedom of Speech, Freedom of Worship. This the government can guarantee because no one has to work to give them to you. But his two “Freedom from’s” are a different story. Freedom from fear is mostly a spiritual issue that democrats can’t provide. Freedom from want is only available to a free people who know how to and want to take care of themselves. Relying on government (i.e., our fellow citizens) to provide for MY needs is just another word for either poverty or slavery or both.
